When your description states “◾To avoid waste, each pouch conveniently contains 4 servings”, does this mean that each serving is individual within that pouch or each pouch just contains 4 servings? Because if its just 4 servings in a big pouch, how is that avoiding waste, if only one person is eating the food?

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for your inquiry about the package and serving sizes for the wise food 56 serving breakfast and entrée food bucket.
Each pouch within the bucket contains 4 servings. If a single person is eating you can simply open the 4 serving pouch and remove a single serving from it and then close up the pouch with a clip or by placing it into a Mylar ziplock bag depending on how long you plan to keep the food without eating it. You can keep the opened food pouch for a week or two with out concern with a simple bag clip, beyond that I would suggest a Mylar bag for storage.
By splitting the food up this way it prevents a large portion of food from being opened and left exposed to the elements that cause it to go bad.

The food is wonderfully delicious and the shipping and customer service is amazing!
The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was the portion size; they are a bit small for 4 young adults on a camping trip (it would feed 3 perfectly), but certainly for use in an emergency situation when stuck somewhere it would be great. The buckets themselves have lots of extra room for other emergency equipment too.
